Mr. Lunde received his BA in Experimental Psychology from Bemidji State University. His fascination with human behavior led, curiously, to a career in collections beginning in 1994. Collections opened up a new world of understanding people and why they make the financial decisions they make. "I saw a darker, more dreary side of the human psyche than I had encountered in my studies and opted to take it on as a personal challenge as well as a career." From credit cards, medical, underground cable and utility damage collections, Mr. Lunde accepted a position in banking working non-performing (delinquent) loan portfolios. As the business model of the bank changed, so did the opportunity for personal and professional growth. Mr. Lunde accepted a position within the company as a Loss Mitigation Field Rep. The exhilaration of diffusing a hostile situation during a face to face loan collection, followed by successful resolution, was both personally and professionally rewarding. The Minneapolis region was frequently number one, and always in the top three, in lower delinquency rates among 24 regions across the country. After leaving the company, Mr. Lunde and Mr. Tschida joined up to form Metro Field Services, Inc. Mr. Lunde and Mr. Tschida both agreed that abusive collection practices and ignoring the needs of the small business owner had to be changed in the industry. Tim and Shayne share the same passion for small businesses that the larger collection agencies could not even begin to understand. |
